General Information
LACEM 2025 welcomes the submission of abstracts for individual talks and posters on original, empirical research in the study of eye movements in language and communication, including psycholinguistics, neurophysiology, psychology, education, among others. Abstracts for planned but unstarted research projects will not be accepted.
Please carefully review the instructions to ensure that your contribution is considered for the conference.
Submission instructions
- For both talks and posters submissions must be made through EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=lacem2025
- A short, 300-word abstract must be submitted. Abstracts for both talks and posters should clearly outline the research question, methodology, results, and interpretation.
- Authors may upload one page of supplementary material (e.g., a figure with results) in PDF format during the submission process. Supplementary material is optional, and reviewers are able to choose whether or not to consider it.
- Abstract acceptance notifications for talks and posters will be sent by 21 July 2025.
- Due to limited slots, some submissions for Talk presentations may be reassigned as posters. Authors will be informed accordingly.
Talks
Each talk is expected to last 20 minutes (15 minutes for presentation + 5 minutes for discussion) and must be presented in English.
Poster Presentations
Posters should be designed in one of the following formats:
- DIN A0 portrait (84.1 x 118.9 cm) [33.11 x 46.81 in]
Materials for mounting posters will be provided at the conference venue.
All posters must be presented in English.
Number of Contributions per Author
Each participant may be the first author of only one talk presentation. However, participants are allowed to be co-authors on multiple presentations and submit an additional poster as first authors. The first author on a talk or poster is the presenting author (and should also be the corresponding author in the online submission system).
Important Note: If the first author of an accepted contribution does not complete the registration process by the specified deadline, the submission will be removed from the program.
Independent Peer Review
Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of experts from various relevant fields. Author -and reviewer- supplied keywords will facilitate the review assignment process. The scientific committee will oversee the review procedures and make the final acceptance decisions.
